I retired from skydiving at the end of 2005. I made my last jump sometime in 2004 at the Blue Sky Ranch, but it took me some time to finally admit I was done forever.

I made 2,300 jumps in 10 or so years of skydiving. In my short time in the sport I accomplished a few things that I am proud of. I believe that with the support of others, I helped a lot of people skydive a little safer.

Back in 1995 I produced a video called PACK LIKE A PRO and started my business in skydiving. Over the next few years I produced several other more complex training films and several very popular entertaining skydiving flicks.

I grew into one of the largest skydiving mail order equipment companies and had a very busy retail store at the The Ranch Skydiving in upstate New York for almost 4 years.

I was never really skilled in free fall, as many of my friends could tell you. I could sit fly pretty good, and I was a damn good tracker. My RW belly flying sucked. I was extremely safe in all aspects of skydiving. I was very alert of my surroundings and never put anyone in danger. I made a lot of really exciting jumps and managed to jump with some very famous skydivers over the years.

I was an excellent conservative canopy pilot. I never learned how to swoop. I made a lot of jumps on a stiletto 120 and could land that canopy practically anywhere.

I made about 15 night jumps in New York, Maryland, and DeLand Florida.

MY MOST MEMORABLE SKYDIVES:

In the dead of winter, 3 friends and I made a desperate skydive from a crappy Cesna. The clouds where dense and all we could get was 1800 feet. The ground was right in my face as I exited first, right over the DZ. I was jumping my trusty stiletto 120. I deployed on exit and had a brisk on heading opening. It only took 600 feet to open! That was brisk for my stiletto.

In 1995 in NJ, I made a barefoot skydive without my contacts lens on, at an unfamiliar DZ. I deployed low with a bad spot! I landed cross wind on the tarmac of the airfield and hammered both feet pretty good! I broke both feet. Needless to say, that jump changed my outlook on skydiving for the better.

When I had only 200-300 jumps I asked good friend Mad Dog Mike to do a Mr. bill with me in DELAND FL. We did 3 in one day. The next day I we were successful at launching another Mr. Bill with two passengers. We both held on to the DOG until 3000 feet and then let go one after the other to deploy our on parachutes.
